The Characters – CC
On December 19, 1843, Charles Dickens’s classic story “A Christmas Carol” was published.

Ebenezer Scrooge
I am Ebenezer Scrooge, and I make no apologies for who I am. I am a man of business and have little patience for those who do not share my dedication to financial success. Some might call me stingy, but I prefer to think of myself as financially responsible.
I have little use for frivolous pursuits or sentimentality. I focus on my business and will not let anyone or anything distract me. I have worked hard to accumulate my wealth, and I have no intention of letting it go to waste.

Bob Cratchit
Well, hello there. I’m Bob Cratchit, a clerk for Ebenezer Scrooge. It’s not always easy, but I try to make the best of it. My loving family, including my wife and children, mean the world to me. We may not have much, but we have each other, and that’s all that really matters in the end.
Despite our struggles, we try to maintain a positive outlook and find joy in the little things in life. I may not be the most critical person in the world, but I do what I can to make a difference where I can. I have a kind heart and a willingness to help others, even if it means going without myself.

Fred, nephew of Scrooge
Well met, my good friend. I’m Fred, the nephew of Ebenezer Scrooge. Despite our differences, I care deeply for my uncle and wish him nothing but the best in life.

The Ghost of Christmas Past
Greetings, mortal. I am the Ghost of Christmas Past, and I am here to guide you on a journey through your memories. I am a mysterious figure, neither entirely benevolent nor malevolent.

The Ghost of Christmas Present
Ho ho ho! I am the Ghost of Christmas Present, and I bring tidings of joy and merriment! I am a jolly figure, with a round belly and a hearty laugh.

Ghost - Christmas Yet to Come

Tiny Tim
Oh, hello there! I’m Tiny Tim, and it’s a pleasure to meet you. I may not be the strongest or fastest boy around, but I make up for it with my boundless spirit and love for life.

Jacob Marley
Hello there, I am Jacob Marley, a former business partner of Ebenezer Scrooge. My time on this earth has long since passed, but my spirit remains bound to the world until I have atoned for my past sins.

Belle
Hark! ‘Tis I, Belle, once the apple of Ebenezer Scrooge’s eye. But alas, our love was not to be, for his heart became as cold as the winter wind. I remember the man he once was, with a twinkle in his eye and a spring in his step. But as the years wore on, he became consumed by greed and bitterness, and our love wilted like a rose left out in the frost.

The Charity Collectors
Well met, sir/madam! We are charity collectors seeking donations to help the less fortunate during this season of giving.
Our mission is to spread love and compassion throughout the city to ease the suffering of those in need. We know times are tough, but even the most minor contribution can make a difference in someone’s life.

Fezziwig
Ahoy, mateys! I be Fezziwig, the jolliest businessman in all of London. I run a bustling warehouse and employ a fine crew of hardworking lads and lasses.
But I don’t believe in all work and no play! No, sir, I believe in enjoying life to the fullest and spreading joy wherever I go. So I host the best parties in town, with dancing, music, and plenty of merriment.

Fan
Good day to you! I am Fan, the dear sister of Ebenezer Scrooge. Though we are separated by distance, our love for each other remains strong.
I remember my brother as a kind and loving soul, full of hope and joy. But as time went on, he became consumed by his work and lost sight of what truly mattered in life.

The Portly Gentlemen
Greetings, good sir/madam! We are the portly gentlemen, on a mission to spread goodwill and generosity throughout the city.
Our business is charity, and we seek donations to aid the less fortunate during this season of giving. We understand that times are tough, but we also believe that even the smallest contribution can make a difference in someone’s life.

Peter Cratchit
Good day, sir/madam! My name is Peter Cratchit, and I work for Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge as a clerk. I am the eldest son of the Cratchit family, and I take great pride in supporting my parents and siblings.
Life may not always be easy, but I try to maintain a positive attitude and a grateful heart. I am blessed to have a loving family and a job that pays the bills, and I never take those things for granted.
